Big Dash Search and GET API (Beta)

We have powered our Big Dash API with Elasticsearch to deliver a super fast and flexible search and document retrieval API. This is not only great news for consumers of our API, but we can use the same power to create a better search experience for you and your end-users. Documentation is available on

Data Visualization (Beta)

Another advantage of the new Big Dash API is real-time access to your data for data visualization with Kibana. Kibana gives you the freedom to select the way you give shape to your data. And you don’t always have to know what you're looking for. With its interactive visualizations, start with one question and see where it leads you. Knowing the interests of your end-user is valuable information for you to target end-users with the right information or products. Part of targeting end-users with the right information is tagging your content with the right subjects. In our initial release of 'Subjects' you can start tagging Library items and Events with subjects.

Before you can create subjects you create subject types. For example, you create a subject type called 'Country' and create subjects called 'Netherlands' and 'Belgium'. There is no limit to the number of subject types and subjects you can create.

Our next step for the 'Subjects' feature is to make the subjects available as filter options in search and show the most relevant personalized information to the end-users on their dashboard. 

Event page redesign

In our ongoing redesign process, we redesigned the event detail page this release. A lot has improved, and we will monitor the usage to fine tune it even further. Part of the redesign is the introduction of a few new optional fields, like price, price type, event type, organizer and subjects.

We also made improvements to the create/update pages for events and library items in your admin dashboard. It's now much easier to select multiple items with our new multi-select user interface.
